Anna Katsur is a contemporary artist exploring socio-political and philosophical questions of the 21st century through hybrid works that move between classical oil painting and algorithmic transformation.
Her practice focuses on tensions between control and chance, authorship and co-creation, intuition and machine logic. Through painting and moving image, she explores how emotion and meaning shift when a painterly gesture passes through code.

ARTIST STATEMENT
I am an interdisciplinary artist working across painting, AI image-making, scent, and moving image to explore perception, liminality, and the boundaries between visible and invisible worlds.
My practice is shaped by living between cultures, languages, and places. Through oil painting as my foundation, I explore how sensation becomes image: how color can feel physical, how scent can carry memory, and how perception shapes reality.
By merging my paintings through algorithmic processes, I create hybrid works that exist between intuition and machine logic, control and emergence. I see technology not simply as a tool, but as a collaborator that can reveal hidden structures of seeing.
Drawing on neuroaesthetics, psychophysics, and questions of observation, I create multisensory works where painting becomes a space for dialogue between body, consciousness, and unseen systems.
